Benefits of Bike Demo’s

For 2014, Tin Shed Sports has invested in a wide variety of demo mountain and road bikes.  The reason is pretty simple – we feel that if a customer can take out a bike BEFORE they purchase one everyone wins.  And not just take it out in an alley or in a parking lot; take it out and test it on real trail conditions – go for a real ride!  How does the bike climb?  How does the bike descend?  Do I like the shifting, bar reach, body position, reaction time, suspension?  29 or 27.5 (650b)?  The list is endless.  So you pay a bit upfront to take out a demo – and take out as many as you like in a day – for one price.  And guess what?  If you decide to purchase a bike from us, we deduct the demo price!  So there’s really not much to lose – you get to test multiple bikes and find the one, or characteristics of the one, that you want to purchase.  Demo’s also offer the shop employees benefits – we get to take out the demo fleet and ride the bikes so we know what they are all about.  The data collected from the shop riders results in education that you can’t find during a show or product seminar – It’s real time real world testing and feedback.  Tonight my daughter and I took out two of the Rocky Mountain Altitudes to test in our backyard trail, Sherwood Forest.  Both bikes were the 650b wheel format and set up with 2 x 10 drivetrains and SLX hydraulic brakes.  They were so smooth!  The slightly smaller wheel diameter was perfect for carving up the trail, and they held their own on the climbs as well.  Pretty much a stellar night out testing bikes and having fun, while keeping it in the family.
